A 'spiritual healer' on Tuesday allegedly assaulted a four-year-old boy in an attempt to rid the child's body of djinn in Islamabad's Bhara Kahu area.

Police officials said the accused, Shaukat, took the minor in a separate room where he allegedly assaulted him.

The parents of the child lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused after the incident.

The FIR said the minor's body bore visible torture marks.
