HARIPUR, July 27: The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines authorities on Saturday evening unearthed two direct connections illegally taken from the main supply line and installed at an industrial concern in Hattar.

The authorities lodged FIR against a mill owner and its management. However, the accused managed to escape from the scene.

Sources at the utility’s local office and the police said that the GM distribution SNGPL received information regarding the illegal connections installed at a woollen mill in the Hattar industrial estate. The GM along with the local staff and police raided the mill and found two illegal connections.

The officials said that it was difficult to determine how long the accused was using these connections and how much losses he inflicted to the SNGPL.—Correspondent
