Indian claims of militant presence along LOC aimed at spreading unrest in AJK, says army chief

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday said Indian 'propaganda' regarding presence of militants along the Line of Control (LOC) is aimed at spreading unrest in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), said a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations.

He added that the 'propaganda' spread by India will “never succeed”.

“Pakistan Army shall continue to ensure protection and security of people along LOC,” said the army chief.

Bajwa directed the military to ensure progress and development works in the area in coordination with the government of AJK, added the ISPR statement.

The army chief was on a visit to the LOC in Kel sector and also visited a forward post at Sharda.

He was briefed on the situation along the LOC by General Officer Commanding Murree Major General Azhar Abbas.

The army chief was also apprised regarding Army's support to ongoing housing and population census.

Good support from Pakistan.India has said there is significant reduction in cease fire violation and its good development. Pakistan should continue with this approach to reduce ceasefire violations and prevail peace.

I have never seen pakistani government and army generals say anything useless or to provoke indians . Indian is always goes 10 steps ahead always bad mouth about pakistan on everything and still pakistan reply back with professional words. Pakistan civil govt and army are so mature, it makes me very proud.

Kashmiris in AJK have lived peacefully for 70 years and kashmiris in IOK have lived with oppression, brutality and death for 70 years. That's why india runs like a squirrel when it hears , UN plebiscite. India knows the results.

@Zak India gets on pins and needles when IOK and Indian atrocities are mentioned. And Indians don't believe and deny that there is a very large Indian military presence an elaborate and ruthless spy network in IOK that is as big as the 7th largest army in the world. So there are always excuses and reasons to divert regional and global attention from the real issue of Kashmiri human rights and their right of self-determination.

@Zak Other countries opt for UN missions considering the lucrative package that is being offered. There is a mad rush from 3 rd world countries just to be part of it. Their behavior and compact readiness is questioned several times by UN, but they continue to hire as they don't have an option .
