KARACHI: The Rs1.8 million Chevron-DHA Karachi Cup All Pakistan Open Golf Championship is set to tee-off at the Defence Authority Country and Golf Club on Friday.

According to officials, some 150 golfers including 85 pros have entered the competition. The first flight tees-off at 7.15pm.

A purse of Rs1.5 million is at stake in the 54-hole Open while the senior pros carries a prize money of Rs0.2 million and junior pros Rs0.1 million.

The 54-hole amateurs will run concurrently.

Besides, other event includes ladies, veterans and master’s.

Country’s top player Shabbir Iqbal is not competing in the event due to other commitments.
