LAHORE: The Airport Security Force (ASF) claimed on Wednesday to have arrested a man and recovered weapons from his possession.

ASF officials were on routine duty when they stopped a car at a checking point and arrested Bilal carrying weapons including a rifle, seven magazines and bullets.

The ASF officials after initial interrogation handed over the suspect to the Sarwar Road police who registered a case under the Arms Act.

The police said the suspect during investigation said he had come to the airport to drop his nephew on his father’s car and did not know about the gun.

The police said the suspect was produced before a judicial magistrate where his family provided the licence of the gun and he was released on bail.
