SUKKUR: Two heavy crackers damaged rail tracks near Misri Shah village, located near Rohri, and Mehrabpur, near Naushahro Feroze, on Wednesday evening, ripping away two-foot pieces of rail tracks.

Luckily, no one was hurt in the explosions. All upcountry-bound trains including Allama Iqbal Express, Karakoram Express, Millat Express, Business Express, Tezgam and night coaches were immediately halted at Nawabshah and other railway stations for several hours after the blasts.

Sources said the repair work would be completed within two to three hours and then all the trains would be allowed to resume their journeys.

Personnel of police and Bomb Disposal Squad reached the blast scene and collected shrapnel of the bombs.

They believed the crackers weighed around four pounds.
