Suspect arrested

SWABI, Dec 30: Security agencies have picked up a resident of Zaida for suspected links with the suicide bombers who made an attempt on the life of President Gen Pervez Musharraf on Dec 25.

Police officials did not disclose the whereabouts of the man.

The superintendent of police had gone to Peshawar to attend a meeting.

Sources said police had assisted the agencies in the arrest of the suspect, who used ran a pharmacy in Zaida.

However, the Zaida and Swabi police, when contacted, said they knew nothing about the arrest.—Correspondent
