KARACHI: Lee Chang Hee, mayor of Jinju, a South Korean city, called on Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar at his Karachi Metropolitan Corporation office here on Monday.

Mr Hee, who led a delegation of city representatives and officials, informed his host about the facilities his government was providing to people in the fields of art, education, culture etc and the services it was rendering for senior citizens to make their lives comfortable.

Mr Akhtar informed the guest about the South Korean students enrolled in the Karachi Medical and Dental College and other institutions of the city.

Both city leaders vowed to further expand mutual cooperation in the fields of education, health, industries, machinery etc so that the existing friendly relations between the two countries could be further strengthened.

Later, Mr Akhtar accompanied the guest and his delegation to the mausoleum of the Quaid. The guest also visited the museum.
