MULTAN: Former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani says the public gathering of Pakistan Peoples Party scheduled to be held on March 10 has been postponed and not cancelled.

A meeting of party leaders from south Punjab had met Bilawal in Karachi in which it was decided to postpone the public gathering due to worsening security reasons. The district government also officially informed the PPP leadership that it’s not going to allow holding the public gathering.

The PPP leadership had submitted an application for a gathering at Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh a few days back.

“The public gathering of Bilawal will be held and new date for it will be announced soon,” said Mr Gilani.
