KARACHI: Zia-ur-Rehman may have missed scoring a century but his scintillating 91 guided Montgomery Gymkhana to a clinical 181-run victory over Pak Shaheen Gymkhana in their KCCA President Cup match at the KCCA Stadium here on Friday.

Batting first, Montgomery Gymkhana posted 305 all out in 43.4 overs with Zia’s 105-ball knock featuring 10 boundaries, while Bazad Khan struck four fours in scoring 54 and Abdullah contributing 37.

Nihal Farooqui, Mohammad Uzair and Mohammad Usman all claimed three wickets each.

Pak Shaheen CC, in reply, collapsed for 124 in 27.2 overs. Medium-pacer Mohammad Ahsan grabbed four wickets for 36 runs and slow left-armer Rehmatullah chipped in with figures of 3-18.

Fast bowler Taha Khan stole the limelight at the Pak Star Ground where Landhi Gymkhana Colts sealed a five-wicket win against Azeempura Gymkhana.

Taha demolished Azeempura Gymkhana batting by capturing six wickets for 32 runs.

Malik Sports, meanwhile, defeated Orangi Star CC by nine wickets at the Annu Bhai Park.
