KARACHI: Two debutants are among the 10 horses who will battle it out when The Karachi Cup takes place in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

Unknown pedigree dark bay horse Blind Show and chestnut mare Charlotte are set to make their debut in the cup scale order VIII race to be run over four-and-a-half furlongs.

The Karachi Cup is the third race of the day’s four-race card.

The feature event, which is the fourth and last race, combined scale order of I and II, has attracted nine horses.

Altogether, 33 horses have entered the day’s programme barring last-minute withdrawal.

The first race gets into action at 2.30pm.

Don Khalifa 9-2, Lady’s Secret 9-0, Sonia Again 8-12, The Great Arab 7-13, Blue Fairy 7-12, Ayaash 7-9, Galaxy 7-9.

Popular Song 9-4, Fantastic Game 8-6, King’s Hand 8-4, Swarovski 7-12, Big SMO 7-10, Almeer 7-7, Shandar Love 7-6.

THE KARACHI CUP SCALE ORDER VIII 4 ½ F:

Tanya 9-1, The Champion 9-0, Kalu Khan 8-10, Blind Show 8-10, Charlotte 8-7, Welcome Venus 8-2, Happiness 7-11, Blue Flame 7-10, Vampire 7-10, Flagship 7-10.

Win: The Champion.

Place: Tanya and Kalu Khan.
