LAHORE, Dec 27: Governor Khalid Maqbool on Saturday convened a session of the Punjab Assembly for Monday.

According to a notification the session would begin at 11am.

Sources said the session had been convened to seek the vote of confidence for the president. Officials said the vote of confidence for the president depended on the related decision by the National Assembly.

Officials said that the first session of the new parliamentary year would take up all the pending bills, including the New Murree Development Authority Bill and the University of Gujrat Bill.

On the first day of the session, the assembly would also deal with a question hour on the services and general administration department and privilege and adjournment motions.
