KARACHI, Dec 27: A number of graduating students and their parents protested against the NED varsity administration as they were denied entry to attend the convocation 2003-04 at the institution’s main campus on saturday.

The University administration had closed the entrance after 10am and thus a number of parents and teachers, who could not manage to reach in time, but had valid invitation cards, were not allowed in by the security staff.

Even many of the journalists from the print as well as the electronic media were also not allowed to attend the ceremony.

They were made to stand outside the main entrance as the proceedings of the convocation went ahead and no responsible official of the NED varsity was present to handle the situation.—APP
