KARACHI: Half-a-dozen horses are set to battle it out in The Kashmir Day Cup when the races resumes after a break of two weeks at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

It may be mentioned that the races could not take place last weekend for want of competition.

The cup that coincides with The Kashmir Day is part of government’s policy to show solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

The scale order III and IV combined cup to be run over five furlongs, is the fourth race in order of the day’s programme.

Al together, 31 horses have entered the day’s races barring last minute withdrawal.

The first race will be run over four-and-a-half furlongs while the rest of three will be contested over five furlongs.

According to schedule, the first race starts at 2.30pm.

Place: Sea Gold.
