HYDERABAD, Dec 26: The Communist Party of Pakistan has condemned the murderous attack on the life of President Gen Pervez Musharraf, saying the party had always condemned individual acts of terrorism.

In a statement on Friday, CPP secretary-general Comrade Imdad Qazi said the army establishment in collaboration with the US had promoted Jehadi elements during the Cold War era. He said Pakistan became isolated due to this policy and now the same forces had resorted to terrorist activities against their erstwhile masters.

Comrade Qazi said the situation would aggalised in the hands of a general. He said it was necessary to restore the supremacy of parliament and the constitution with a view to decentralising powers.
