KARACHI, Dec 26: Five ships carrying containers, steel cargo and soyabean meal are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Hyundai Sprinter, Al-Manakh and Mercs Kirinda to unload and containers and Johar to unload crude oil were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed included Corin Thaikos, Ocean Luna, Chitral, Yong An-4 and Atlantic Sol departed on Friday, while Hyundai Sprinter, Top Success, Johar and Sinar Bangka are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 93,727 tons comprising 4,690 tons of export cargo and 89,037 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Norasia Noor, Beliz Urmmer, Kota Teguh, with containers, Bomasia, with steel cargo and Reef Zanzibar, with soyabean meal.
