LAHORE: The 3rd Pakistan Mega Leather Show 2017 started at the Lahore’s International Expo Centre on Friday with the participation of 175 local and foreign companies.

Exhibitors from China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Italy and India are participating in the three-day event which is offering business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) opportunities.

The show is aimed at giving a boost to the leather industry and providing buyers and sellers an enabling environment to interact and explore business opportunities.

“Pakistani exporters have great potential and capability to compete in the international markets,” said Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Chief Executive S.M. Munir while addressing the opening ceremony.

He said the TDAP was endeavoring to facilitate exporters to augment

congenial trade atmosphere and help them tap international business opportunities.

“We are focusing on revamping trade strategy aimed at exploring distant markets, corporate facilitation and educating our exporters to achieve better export results for the country,” Mr Munir added.
