Trials for U-17 Asia Cup

KARACHI, Dec 24: Pakistan Cricket (PCB) on Wednesday invited more than 70 players for trials to be conducted at Karachi and Lahore in preparation for next month’s Junior (Under-17) Asia Cup in India.

Trials at Karachi are to be held at National Stadium on Sunday (Dec 28), starting at 10.00am with cricketers from Karachi, Hyderabad and Quetta taking part.

The trials at Lahore on Tuesday (Dec 30) at Gaddafi Stadium, also beginning from 10.00am onwards, will have players belonging to various regions of Punjab.

Apart from the players selected on the basis of appearing in the Pepsi Clinic, Under-15 Asia Cup in the UAE and PCB regional academies, anyone whose name is missing from the list is free to attend the trials at his own expense.

Hyderabad: Mohammad Adnan, Sohail Khan, Sharjeel Khan.

Quetta: Rohail Younis, Salman Ali.

Peshawar: Hadayat Khan, Tariq Afridi, Fahad Zaman, Najeeb Afridi, Nasir Ahmed, Yasir Arafat.

Faisalabad: Waqas Nazar, Nayyar Abbas, Zunair Abbas, Mohammad Usman, Kamran Mustafa.

Gujranwala: Waqar Azmat, Mohammad Asif, Fahad Asif, Ali Hasan, Aamir Yousuf.

Sheikhupura: Nawaz Sardar, Suleman Ali.

Mianwali: Mohammad Kashif, Osama Haroon.
