TANK: Eight personnel of the Frontier Consta­bulary (FC) were injured when a vehicle they were travelling in was hit by a remote-controlled bomb near Khargi Mor in Tank district on Monday.

According to a security official, the vehicle was taking the FC men from the Manzai fort to Peshawar when the bomb planted along the road ripped through it.

Eight personnel suffered injuries. Seven of them were identified as Inam­ullah, Haider Ali, Mohammad Tayyab, Javed Iqbal, Bismillah, Mohammad Imran and Allah Nawaz.

They were taken to Tank district headquarters hospital, where doctors referred two of them to the district headquarters hospital in Dera Ismail Khan.

Security forces cordoned off the area after the incident and initiated a search operation to track down those responsible. However, no arrests were made till the filing of this report.
