KARACHI: Sindh Culture Minister Syed Sardar Shah on Monday said that Moenjodaro would be the first archaeological site in the country which would have its own website.

He said the website was in its final stages and would be launched next month on the eve of an international conference on Moenjodaro and the Indus Valley Civilisation.

Presiding over a meeting of the executive board of the National Fund for Moenjodaro (NFM) at his office, Mr Shah said a research and resource institute was also being established and its construction work would soon be completed.

He said the institute would serve as a major resource centre on Moenjodaro, accumulating diverse research done on the internationally acclaimed archaeological site.

The meeting was told that Unesco had recommended two international experts to the technical committee of the NFM for dry core drilling at Moenjodaro.

The names would be presented by a technical committee in the next meeting.
