DERA MURAD JAMALI: A suspected militant was killed in an ‘encounter’ with security forces in Dera Murad Jamali area on Sunday.

Official sources said that personnel of Frontier Corps launched a search operation in the area on information about the presence of the wanted militant there. This triggered an exchange of fire in which the militant was killed.

The militant was involved in an attack on security forces in the area, a security official said, adding that he had been arrested some time ago but escaped from the police station.

In another incident, a man, identified as Irfan Ali, was killed in the Gandawah area of Jhal Magsi.
