KARACHI, Dec 21: The Baloch Rabita-Ittefaq Tehrik (Brit) has urged the federal government to take Baloch leaders into confidence regarding future development plans for Gwadar.

This was stated here by Brit chief Prince Mohyuddin Baloch, who was a federal communication and commerce minister in the Zia-Junejo regime.

Talking to Brit activists and various delegations who called on him at his residence on Wednesday after his arrival from Kalat, the prince said they made Pakistan so that their rights could be protected, but he regretted that “our resources are being looted”.

He said the development of Gwadar was being linked with the progress of Balochistan but “we are unaware of the future plans the government wants to implement and how the Baloch people will benefit from these ambitious projects.”

He claimed that the “multinational companies are purchasing our resources by entering into secret deals with the government.”
