ISLAMABAD, Dec 20: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairperson Benazir Bhutto has condoled the death of renowned journalist, Aslam Sheikh, who died here on Thursday.

The PPP chairperson, in a message on Saturday, said Mr Sheikh was renowned not only for his journalistic writings but also as an activist of press freedom and rights of the working journalists. His incisive writings on difficult economic issues were highly readable and followed with great interest, she added.

Ms Bhutto said apart from a competent journalist, Aslam Sheikh was also a thorough gentleman whose personal qualities endeared him to many.
