ISLAMABAD, Dec 20: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has declared the result of written test conducted for award of scholarships for doctorate-level studies in China, says an official statement.

A total of 578 candidates applied for the scholarships, however 200 of them, who met the eligibility criteria, were called for the entry test. Out of these 200 candidates, only 109 appeared for the test, while 55 were selected on merit for interviews.

The role numbers of candidates selected for interviews are 81009, 810010, 810012, 810029, 810033, 810043, 810044, 810047, 810054, 810056, 810058, 810059, 810075, 810078, 810080, 810082, 810084, 810086, 810095, 810098, 810123, 810144, 810145, 810146, 820024, 830010, 830011,830019, 830035, 840003, 840014, 840032, 840036, 840042, 840043, 840062, 840063, 840074, 840110, 840122, 840130, 840134, 840144, 840145, 840146, 850005, 850006, 850012, 850017, 850018, 860008, 860012, 860016, 860020 and 870008.

The candidates would appear before a team of Chinese professors for interviews scheduled to be held in February/March, 2004.

The candidates appeared in the test for award of PhD scholarships in basic and natural sciences in China held on December 9.
