PPP's Sindh government declaring public holiday for Benazir's death anniversary is wrong. The Supreme Court had declared collapse of governance in Sindh as the politicians abused power to loot and plunder. There has been no development in Sindh in the last eight years, yet all the development funds have disappeared? Now to give provincial holiday for one political party is unjustified, as every party would demand holiday for their own. It does not effect rich PPP leaders, but poor daily wage earners are losers. It would be better tribute to Benazir, that the Sindh government had decided to work extra, to help the suffering masses.

Somehow politicians have put all their faith in capturing prime time electronic / print media. They believe exposure in media will give them access to potential voters. Our media too believes in getting endless supply of breaking news for improving their ratings. Thus BB barsi etc etc serves both the Political parties & media. There is absolutely no realisation at either end that excess of every thing is bad/ repulsive. I and many of my innumerable friends have stopped watching TV in particular the talk shows. Progress on the ground in relation Nation building, education, health, meritocracy, law & order, implementation of NAP post APS and Quetta carnage & life style of ruling elite remains the yardstick by which they will be measured, provided free & fair elections are held.

Its obvious PPP has suddenly become active in politics as the election 2018 draws near. PPP has no other objective but to gain mileage to win 2018 elections. But why is federal govt. quiet. Perhaps the rumors about secret deal in the name of charter of democracy is real ?

It is wrong to declare holidays at will by any government - federal or provincial. It has to be an act of legislature.

Roti, kapra, makan' has still not been fulfilled by PPP since 1967 until today and big hopes are still lingering to the poor masses

I appreciate PPP for this commendable announcement. If Sindh comes at par in education with other provinces then who will do the menial jobs in country. Bravo for the great foresight & job solution.

What were her achievements exactly? She was no where near Fatima Jinnah and I never heard of any death celebrations of her..

agrees with the comments .public office was used to generate money and contacts . new ways of transferring money out of the country were created , many of the front men are still at large . no relief to the lives of the common people . selected group of people take advantage and prosper .people of thur are the best example of PPP bad governance although each part of the province got the fare share from this mess . system need a acid and blood bath
