MULTAN, Dec 19: A local court on Friday directed the police to record the statement of the grandfather of alleged honour-killing victim, Afsheen Musarrat.

Allah Ditta had stated in his petition that police was not recording his statement.

The maternal uncle of the girl, Naveed Akhtar, is also in police custody. The remaining suspects are availing their interim pre-arrest bail and their bail applications will come up for hearing before Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdul Sattar on Saturday (today).

Meanwhile, Allah Ditta Sahu has also filed application before the sessions judge to hear all bail applications himself.

The judge adjourned the application seeking transfer of bail applications for Saturday (today).—APP
