Wapda clinch kabaddi championship

LAHORE: Wapda won the first National Women Kabaddi Championships (Asian Style) by defeating Army 43-29 in the final at the Wapda Sports Complex here on Friday.

Shanzay, Saba Naz and Raheela played well for the winners.

Saba and Shanzay were also declared the best players of the event.

Punjab secured third position whereas Islamabad was fourth.

Other participating teams were Sindh, KP and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) secretary Rana Sarwar said the federation had decided to hold the first National Kabaddi League in April next year.
