BANNU: The Bannu police claimed on Friday to have arrested a militant wanted to law enforcement agencies in various cases of terrorism in the district.

Officials of Kaki police station said that they were on a routine patrol in the area when they spotted a suspected person, and arrested him.

They said a pistol, cartridges, and a fake NIC card in the name of Mulla Dad were recovered from his possession.

The police officials said that the alleged terrorist was wanted to police in 12 high profile cases of militancy, including carrying out a blast on a school, targeted killings, blowing up a military vehicle, killing of Kaki nazim and other crimes of heinous nature.

He was carrying a Rs1 million head money.
