SANGHAR: Jam Madad Ali, an MPA of the Pakistan Muslim League-F, has decided to join the Pakistan Peoples Party after a meeting with PPP leader Faryal Tapur in Karachi on Wednesday.
Jam Madad Ali confirmed the meeting to Dawn, which was held at the residence of PPP leader Sohail Anwar Siyal. He said all matters had been settled in the meeting and his formal announcement to join the PPP was expected to be made next week in Dubai.
He said the PPP leaders contacted him and he was also willing to join the party.
Jam Madad Ali won PS 81 twice on PML-F tickets in elections. He remained leader of the opposition in the Sindh Assembly. He contested the 2001 election for nazim on a PPP ticket.
