KARACHI, Dec 18: Three ships with containers and general cargo were allotted berths at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, two more ships with chemicals and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Three ships, Sardina, Maersk Avon and Rio Gracia were busy in loading/unloading containers and general cargo.

A cargo volume of 38,660 tons comprising 27,202 tons of import cargo and 11,458 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was also active as three ships, Rio Gracia and Maersk Avon departed, while three ships, Safmarine Prime, Warbah and Addarraq were awaiting their berthing turn at the out anchorage. Five ships, Load Star Queen, Enrico Ievoli, Fu Le, Western Trader and Western Moor with were expected to reach the port on Friday.
