Trump wants to 'cancel order' on expensive new Air Force One

US President-elect Donald Trump urged the government to cancel Boeing's new Air Force One plane in a Twitter post on Monday, saying it was too expensive.

"Boeing is building a brand new 747 Air Force One for future presidents, but costs are out of control, more than $4 billion. Cancel order!" Trump tweeted.

The US Air Force awarded Boeing an initial contract worth $25.8 million.

Details about the total value of the new contract have not been released, but the Air Force has previously said that it had earmarked $1.65 billion for two replacement jets.

Excellent. That is great leadership. That should be an example for our elected leaders who waste tax payers money for their luxurious lifestyle and VIP culture. Its reported that Rupees 14 lac are spent on the Prime Minister's house every day? Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif must clarify, and order immediate reduction on such waste of tax payers money. In any democracy there must be full accountability and those guilty of such abuse should be punished.

Any other model in world that can match features of Air Force One ? Pentagon should come with best alternatives in case money needs to be saved by manufacturing the plane in government factory. President of USA must be well secured against any threats. Trump is right with his business logic but security need must be fulfilled.
