LARKANA, Dec 17: The high school teachers working under the middle school project in the district have urged the government to release their salaries immediately.

Protesting over delay in the payment of their salaries here on Wednesday, they hoisted black flags on the school buildings.

They alleged that for the last six months, the government had stopped their salaries and thereby pushed 428 families towards starvation.

In a telegram to the Sindh chief secretary, they appealed for early release of their salaries.

They also held a demonstration outside the local press club.

ARRESTED: The police arrested a SPSF-SB activist Aijaz Manganhar, here on Wednesday following the lodging of an FIR against him by the vice principal of the Chandka Medical College.
