HYDERABAD, Dec 15: A PPP activist, Hassan Rajar, who was released from jail here on Monday, was whisked away by police as soon as he came out of prison.

This was stated by the wife of Rajar, Ms. Shama Rajar and other relatives while talking to newsmen at the press club.

Ms. Shama said that her husband was acquitted in a bank dacoity case and as soon as he was released by the central jail authorities, he was whisked away by Bhittai Nagar police although he was not wanted in any other case.

She feared that her husband might be implicated in some false case or killed in a fake encounter.

She appealed to the higher authorities to take notice of the highhandedness of police and save the life of her husband.
