Robbers kill three

FAISALABAD, Dec 14: Three people were shot dead on resistance by robbers in different incidents here on Sunday.

Two masked motorcyclists intercepted expatriate Abdul Ghafoor and tried to snatch cash from him in Samanabad. They shot him to death for holding them out and escaped.

Industrial worker Tufail was shot dead by unidentified bandits during a dacoity attempt in a hotel at Chak 198-RB in the limits of Nishatabad police station.

Three masked highwaymen intercepted Iqbal and Gulzar on By-Pass Road in the area of Sadar police station and tried to snatch valuables from them. Gulzar put up resistance and overpowered one of the outlaws. However, other robbers opened fire on them, killing Gulzar instantly and injuring Iqbal seriously.

Police have registered separate cases.

POISONED: A pregnant woman was poisoned to death allegedly by her husband in Naamatabad here on Sunday.

Tailor Ghaffar developed differences with her wife over some domestic dispute. He along with the help of his parents gave poison to her wife. She became unconscious and died on her way to hospital.
