PESHAWAR, Dec 14: Victims of the Lead Cooperative Society scam have been running from pillar to post for over a decade for the recovery of their money swindled by high-ups of the society.

The victims, most of whom belong to poor families, have been passing through miserable times as they had invested their life long earnings with the society and are now finding it hard to make their both ends meet.

Despite repeated requests to the President Pervez Musharraf and th National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman no action has been taken in this regard and the concerned quarters have turned a deaf ear to all their pleas.

An year ago, one of the affectees, Nazir Gul, had died of cancer as he had no money for his treatment.
