LAHORE: Director, actor, writer of his debut film ‘8969’, Azeem Sajjad, has said the flick being released on Dec 2 across the country, will be a different movie.

Sajjad, flanked by producer and music composer of the film, was addressing a news conference at Lahore Press Club on Tuesday.

The film was produced by A J Khan and music composed by Raheel Fayaz.

Sajjad said he had been in the tinsel town for over three decades; however ‘8969’ was his debut movie as a director.

He said: “The film name ‘8969’ is a mystery and can only be solved by watching it. The flick is based on true events keeping in view the motto of education through entertainment.” The prime focus in the film was to discourage youth from ‘misusing’ the internet, especially social media sites, he said.

According to Sajjad, the film has two original compositions. A 70’s song has been reshaped in the movie.

The film distributor is Shahid Siddique of Play Pictures while the cast includes Azeem Sajjad, Saba Qamar, Sadaf Hamid, Noorul Hasan, Haseeb Khan and Husan Tiwana.
