DI KHAN/KOHAT: The security forces apprehended 11 target killers in Dera Ismail Khan and surrounding areas early on Monday morning, an ISPR statement said.

These target killers, the statement added, were planning to carry out sabotage activities and target Muharram processions in Dera district.

Security forces also apprehended a suspected terrorist from Billitang area of Kohat district on Monday morning, according to the ISPR statement. The terrorist Shahzeb was involved in killing of police constable Ali Raza while on duty in Kohat.

Meanwhile, Corps Commander Peshawar Lt-Gen Hidayatur Rehman visited Hangu district and met ulema and elders from Shia and Sunni communities.

The corps commander urged the Shia and Sunni ulema to preach unity and harmony among both sects to frustrate nefarious designs of enemies of Islam and Pakistan.

IG FC Shaheen Khattak, Commissioner Kohat division Musarrat Hussain, Commandant FC Tall Scouts Col Munir, elders and other relevant officials were present on the occasion.

The Peshawar corps commander said Muharram was a sacred month which taught Muslims lessons of brotherhood and harmony.
