KARACHI, Dec 9: The imam of Masjid-i-Aqsa (Baitul Maqdas), Shaikh Mohammad Al-Sayyam, arrived here on Tuesday from Lahore. He was received by a local leader of the Jamaat-i-Islami, Dr Mairajul Huda, and Jamiat Ittehad-ul-Ulema Karachi’s Maulana Abdul Rauf at the airport.
Shaikh Sayyam, who is also vice chancellor of Gaza University, has been in Pakistan to attend an international conference earlier held in Lahore to mark the 100th birth anniversary of Syed Abul Aala Maudoodi.
