Hazara University to reduce fees

MANSEHRA, Dec 8: A syndicate meeting of the Hazara University on Saturday decided to implement reduced fee structure in the next semester, commencing from January 2004.

The syndicate also approved the expulsion of a worker of the Islami Jamiat Talaba from the university.

The meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Dr Mohammad Daud Awan was also attended by renowned nuclear scientist Dr Samar Mubarakmand, Quaid-i-Azam University Vice Chancellor UAG Isani, director general of the Strategic Vision and Planning and officials of the higher education commission.

The participants agreed to a grant of Rs 5,000 per month as allowance for PhD degree holders as adopted by the Peshawar University. The meeting also suggested certain changes to improve the university affairs.
