Hepatitis-B hits Moro villages

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Dec 8: A minor boy died of hepatitis-B on Monday and 16 others have been infected with the disease in the Moro area.

Jodho 2, son of Bahadur Khan, resident of Manhiro village, died of hepatitis-B in a Nawabshah hospital.

Sixteen persons, including Shaman, son of Ali Gul Lashari, Shahbaz, 8, son of Ali Gul, Gul Jehan, 10, daughter of Mangrio Lashari, Ali Jahan, 3, and Mashooq, son of Taro Lashari, residents of Samejo Tar village, have been infected with hepatitis-B.

Seven area residents, including Ali Gul, 50, his son, Bakhtiar, 8, Mukhtiar 20, residents of Samejo Tar village, Hayat Khatoon, resident of Moro, Jailum, 25, son of Sahib Khan Chandio, of Hoath Khan Chandio village, had died of the disease during the last one month.
