ISLAMABAD: Justice (r) Wajihuddin Ahmed on Sunday resigned from the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday.
Wajihuddin turned in his resignation to PTI Chairman Imran Khan, but did not mention a reason behind his resignation. It is unclear whether Imran Khan has accepted his resignation or not.
Wajihuddin has served as the party's election tribunal head. He was tasked to head a commission in 2013 to investigate "irregularities" in PTI's intra-party elections that took place before the general election in the same year.
The retired justice developed differences with party leadership over implementation of recommendations made by the tribunal.
His party membership had been suspended in 2015, after which he presented a seven-point charter calling for the ouster of Jahangir Tareen, Pervaiz Khattak, Aleem Khan and Nadir Leghari from the PTI.
He alleged that the party was being run like a mafia without any institutional checks and balances.

An honorable man left PTI honorably. Justice (r) Wajihuddin Ahmed' honesty and integrity was not appreciated by Imran Khan and it should be a serious concern for the people of Pakistan who want to see our country abteer nation.

People will leave the party,when party leaders don,t consult each other before making big decisions and don,t tolerate any criticism from any member. He is highly educated and retired honorable judge.His vision for the party is totally different from others. His membership was revoked in 2015 by Imran who runs the party like a fuedal lord and seems to be above the party rules. He makes wrong decisions at the wrong time by himself and wants everyone to line up behind him. I think it's better for him to say goodbye to the party and it's leadership but his fight for the betterment of people of Pakistan will continue.

its an alarming situation for PTI that the leading heads of the party don't have a soft corner for other party members and calling for the ouster of others.recently justice (r) Wajihuddin who served as a party election tribunal head turned in his resignation to chairman Imran Khan. expressing the internal party issues publicly and severe institutional irregularities weaken the broader image of Pakistan tahreek-e-insaaf. Consequently, PTI will loss the public backup and it will directly effect the upcoming election results.

This was bound to happen sooner or later. The PTI has lost yet another decent member and it has fallen deeper into the abysmal clutches of the vile mafia controlling it. There is nothing left now to show any difference between the PTI, or PML-N or any other political party in Pakistan, for that matter.
