LAHORE: Justice Yawwar Ali of the Lahore High Court will take up on Monday (tomorrow) a petition of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI), seeking directions for the Punjab police to stop taking illegal actions against workers of his party ahead of their planned protest near Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s residence in Raiwind on Sept 30.

PTI’s Gohar Nawaz Sindhu alleged in the petition that the Punjab police had started harassing party workers. He also expressed the apprehensions that police would soon start arresting party workers.

He prayed to the court to direct the police not to harass PTI workers.
