Minister leaves for Mexico

ISLAMABAD, Dec 7: Minister of State for Food, Agriculture and Livestock Sikandar Hayat Bosan left here on Sunday for Mexico, leading a three-member delegation to represent the country at a UN Convention Against Corruption to be held in Merida from Dec 9-11.

The delegation included National Accountability Bureau Director-General Rear Admiral Saeed Ahmed Sarghana and Sajid Mahmood Qazi of NAB.

UK’s Minister for Law and Justice Mrs Barness Scotland will hold discussion with Mr Bosan.

Pakistan is playing an active role in international efforts to address the problem of corruption. Recently, the United Nations has proposed the development of a new global legal instrument against corruption.—APP
