Episode between Khawaja Izhar, Rao Anwar inappropriate, says PSP's Raza Haroon

HYDERABAD: Pak Sarzameen Party's Secretary General Raza Haroon on Saturday termed the episode between Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) leader Khawaja Izhar and SSP Malir Rao Anwar as inappropriate.

The PSP leader also urged Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah to hear the perspective of the suspended SSP Malir Rao Anwar.

"The way raid and arrests are made is inappropriate,” said Haroon.

Responding to a query about arrest of Leader of Opposition in Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izharul Hassan, Haroon called for following required procedure laid down in law.

He said the incident had evoked a strong reaction from the chief minister of the province.

"The CM and the new investigating officer should hear Khawaja Izhar and the SSP’s perspective as well,” added the PSP general secretary.

He added that a uniformed senior police official had leveled serious allegations while talking to the media, and the chief minister should take the matter to its logical conclusion.

On Friday, police took Khawaja Izhar into custody hours after raiding and searching his residence.

Khawaja Izhar was later released from custody and returned home later the same day.

No one should be above system and institutions, whether he is Rao Anwar or khawaja Izhar.Rao Anwar is manipulating his good work to undermine the institutions.

I know one thing which I think this RAO man should go back read a little bit... A murdering suspect is not a murderer unless proved and guilty....by court. RAO put his own court at press conference and declared him a murderer.... is it 21 century or he lives somewhere else...untouched and unknown about law... rao man is a rough man...should not be in police....too much talking ...is he a policitician? or belongs to somewhere.....??? I don't want to name....because you guys will not publish.......

How low PSP and its so called leaders can go? These are the same people who have been victims of Rao Anwar atrocities against MQM. Well PSP must have been disappointed. Next episode of Khuwaja Izhar's arrest would have been him joining PSP. PSP is completely exposed in front of the public.

SSP is a serious job position. If CM thinks that SSP did not follow the appropriate arresting procedure then he should have talked to the SSP seperation. Since CM is so smart, he should outline how our police should apprehended rich and politicians backed suspects.

SSP Rao Anwer had leveled horrifying charges against MQM of conniving with RAW in organizing all sorts of killings and creating unrest in Karachi. He was also taken to some tasks then. But, his charges were proved correct when RAW agent Kulbhushan Yadav was arrested and made several startling disclosures. He might be exonerated of current charges as well tomorrow.

No one is above the law. This is a police matter and should be treated as such. No higher authority has the right to exercise its muscle for its own political motives.
