ISLAMABAD, Dec 6: Turkey’s leading football club, Bekistas, will play a friendly match against Pakistan’s national team here on Jan 8, it was officially learnt on Saturday.

The Turkish team will arrive on Jan 7 to play the match of their trip to Pakistan before returning home the next day.

The game will be played at Jinnah Stadium of Pakistan Sports Complex.

Bekistas is one of the first division clubs of Turkey which itself reached the semifinals of World Cup, jointly hosted by Japan and South Korea in June last year, before narrowly losing to eventual champions Brazil.—APP
