PESHAWAR, Dec 31: The NWFP minister for information, sports, culture and tourism, Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani, has directed to convene a meeting of the board of directors of Sarhad Tourism Corporation (STC), wherein, besides a number of other development schemes, it is to debated whether STC should be made an autonomous body or a truly public limited company so that it becomes a more viable and sustainable institution.

The minister was presiding over a meeting of the board of directors of STC here on Monday. Secretary law Mohammad Salim Khan and representatives of establishment, finance, PE& D, and archives departments also attended the meeting.

The meeting was briefed about a number of other development schemes by the acting managing director STC, Mohammad Tariq Afridi.
