TANK: A militant was killed in a clash with security forces while a bullet-riddled body of a member of the former peace committee was found on Sunday.

Sources in security forces said that Mubarak Shah, son of Jamal Uddin, was shot dead after he allegedly opened fire on security personnel.

His body was taken to DHQ hospital and was handed over to family members for burial.

Meanwhile, the bullet-riddled body of Shoaib Bhitani, a member of the former peace committee, was found in Bhityari era of Gomal on Sunday.

The Tank police reached the area and took the body to Tank DHQ hospital.

Meanwhile, security forces launched a search operation in Larazane area to recover Muhammad Farooq, a dispenser of the BHU Khesare in Dabber valley, who had been kidnapped on Aug 18. Security forces launched the operation in the area after a tip-off that the kidnapped dispenser had been shifted to the area.
