BATTAGRAM: A family has asked the government to arrest the culprits of an attack on their house, which resulted in killing of a woman and injuries to three others.

The family head, Aleem, told reporter here on Monday that his brother Mohammad Nabi asked his son Pervaiz and grandson Amanullah to attack our house and kill all the family members over a family dispute.

Aleem said that in my absence Mohammad Nabi along with his son and grandson attacked the house a few days back and killed my wife Gul Fareena and seriously injured three others including Bibi Fatima d/o Nosherwan (17), Jameel Ahmed s/o Nosherwan (9) and Sabahat d/o Nosherwan (7). Later, the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. One of them is in critical situation at Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad, Aleem stated.

He added that the main accused was still free and threatening us to kill all their family members one by one. “We appeal to higher authorities to provide us justice and arrest the culprits.”

SHO Arshid Ali, incharge Pazang police station, when contacted told Dawn that they had arrested Mohammad Nabi, while his other two accomplices would be arrested soon.
