GHALANAI: Security forces conducted a search operation in Prang Ghar tehsil of Lower Mohmand and arrested at least eight alleged kidnappers on Saturday morning.

According to local residents, security forces conducted search operation in Ziarat Kalli and Issa Baba localities.

Tehsildar Prang Ghar Ajam Khan told Dawn that during search operation security forces arrested Munsif Khan, Yousaf Khan, Bakhtiar Khan, Adil Khan, Jehangir Khan, Sajid Khan, Zahir Khan and Muzamil Khan.

He said security forces also recovered a car, a motorcycle, two Kalashnikovs, six hand grenades and three repeaters from the arrested persons, who were shifted to Mohmand Rifles headquarters.

A local resident told Dawn on phone that the arrested persons were involved in the kidnapping, car-lifting, robbery and other incidents in the area.
