KARACHI, Dec 3: Three ships carrying containers and high speed diesel are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where seven ships were berthed. They are: Sinar Bangka Global Progress, APL Emerald and Al-Mariyah to unload and load containers, Lady Elena to offload DAP fertilizer, Mercs Sajinda to offload soyabean meals and Campodove to offload soyabean oil.

Five vessels, Iris, Al-Mariyah, Bunga Delima, Ocean Sunrise and Pacific Ocean departed on Wednesday, while Global Progress, Campodove, APL Emerald, Asirat, Mercs Sajinda and Denise-e are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 65,315 tons comprising 6,247 tons of export cargo and 56,068 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Koriana, with 54,000 tons of high speed diesel, Safe Marine Oranje and Orient Stride, with containers.
